Anthony provides safe and effective medical care while assisting patients with activating their full self-healing potential. Anthony offers acupuncture and electro-acupuncture, acupressure and tui na (Chinese medical massage), herbal/nutritional and lifestyle counseling, and therapeutic exercise instruction for neuromusculoskeletal injuries, pain and stress management, and health maintenance. Anthony's study of holistic medicine began over 15 years ago with his recovery from soccer and cycling injuries through acupuncture, massage and physical therapy, meditation, and taiji/qi gong practice. In his clinical practice, Anthony integrates his personal, intuitive exploration of self-healing potential, with advanced training in Eastern and Western sports and orthopedic medicine. He has worked in sports, rehabilitation and physical medicine clinics since 1997. Anthony received his Masters Degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine, as well as a certificate in Integrative Sports Medicine, from the Five Branches Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Santa Cruz. He is currently pursuing a national board specialty in Acupuncture Orthopedics through Lerner Education at Cedars-Sinai hospital in Beverly Hills. In addition to his private practice as the founder of Integrative Health Care, Anthony also serves as a Clinical Supervisor in the Sports Injury Program at the Five Branches Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Santa Cruz. He also coordinates Five Branches' Integrative Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine Program, which provides clinical education and training to physicians of all medicines. Anthony is dedicated to advancing and integrating acupuncture and oriental medicine within the body of world medicine, and serves as co-chair of the Santa Cruz County Oriental Medical Association. Anthony enjoys blending the best of ancient and modern science, and working with patients for full healing and vitality of the integrated body-mind-spirit. For health and relaxation he enjoys cycling, yoga, swimming, racquetball, and high-altitude backpacking.
