Ted’s
pragmatic approach to patient care has been the foundation of his practice
in Chinese Medicine. He commonly employs acupuncture, herbal medicine,
and other modalities like massage and cupping to maximize the therapeutic
effect of his treatments. It is his compassion for his patients and listening
skills, however, which really distinguish him as a healer. He believes
strongly in the fundamentals of Chinese Medicine and is constantly seeking
to improve his skills through advanced training and study in acupuncture
and herbal medicine.
One of Ted’s main goals in his practice of Chinese Medicine is education.
On a daily basis he explains how acupuncture works to his patients and
is constantly talking with M.D.s about how to integrate Eastern and Western
Medicine. Ted received his Masters Degree Chinese Medicine from The American
College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in San Francisco and he is currently
pursuing his National Board Specialty in Acupuncture Orthopedics.
Ted believes strongly in the body’s ability to heal itself and views
Chinese Medicine as a catalyst to return the body to health. No one should
be dependent on medicine to feel well. Rather they should employ all the
resources at their disposal to maximize their health and limit intervention
from Western or Eastern medical practitioners. His goal is to get people
well as soon as possible and return them to their daily activities, healthy,
energized, and pain-free.
